Go Ahead, Ask Questions
We believe in asking lots of questions. It’s what got us started in the game of creating our own natural products… from the “why is this in there?” to the “How do you pronounce that?” we welcome your concerns and inquires. We’re an open book! Don’t see what you’re looking for below? Drop us a message and we’ll be happy to get in contact with you to sort things out. If it’s a good enough question it just might make it onto the FAQ list!
We researched so many suppliers! Whew, it was quite a process but it was necessary to find the suppliers that provided us with quality ingredients. They also had to support the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC). The CCIC promotes a single comprehensive standard and an internationally recognized Leaping Bunny Logo. Since we are certified through the CCIC, we had to only use suppliers that would support that initiative.
Our products do not contain sunscreen at this time.
We only use a preservative in products that contain water. Currently those products are Facial Moisturizer and our Facial Toners. We use a preservative called Leucidal® Liquid. It is a natural preservative from Active Micro Technologies combining the current trends for alternative preservative systems and peptide technology. Derived from radishes fermented with Leuconostoc kimchii, a lactic acid bacteria that has traditionally been used to make kimchi, this product consists of an isolated peptide that is secreted from the bacteria during the fermentation process that has been shown to have antimicrobial benefits. Leucidal® Liquid is accepted by ECOcert as an ingredient in certified organic cosmetics. It is also on Whole Foods Acceptable Premium Preservative List.
At this time, no. This is a tough one for us. Here’s why: In order to get a “flavor” you have to use a synthetic flavor oil, and that is just not something we can get behind right now. Trust me, I love tutti fruti lip balm but it’s not naturally occurring!
This could be a very subjective question, so I will share what I think natural means to us as a company. For us, natural means that the ingredients we use are not synthetic. They began as something in nature. Naturally grown or derived. If a product is processed, we make sure the process natural, such as drying naturally or with heat versus using a chemical to dry the ingredient out.
Orders & Shipping
At this time we do not, but check back soon because in the near future we definitely want to be able to send our products all over the world!
We do not offer samples at this time. This is mostly due to the fact we prefer to use glass as our container. This makes having samples not economical. We do offer a money back guarantee so if you try something and it just doesn’t work for you, you can return for a refund of the product price.
Yes! We are confident you’ll love our products but in the event you’re not happy with something we want to make it right! Contact us so we can help.
Using Wren Products
Yes! You can use all our products on anyone in your family! And if you have a dog, you can even use the Healing Salve on the pads of their feet!. Obviously if you or someone in your family is allergic to an ingredient we suggest you don’t use that one. Our deodorant is the only kind my children have ever used.
No, we would never test on animals. We only test on Danielle. Our products and company are certified with The Leaping Bunny program. We also source our ingredients from suppliers that also support the Leaping Bunny program. So we do not source any ingredients that are tested on animals either. For more information on the Leaping Bunny program click here.
We do have Certified Vegan products! Currently our Facial Moisturizer, Toners, and Bath Bombs are vegan. We are working on a vegan deodorant that utilizes something other than bees wax but this is still in research and development.
I also tried many natural deodorants that didn’t work, so I understand your frustration. We would love you to take another leap of faith and try ours. I am confident you will be happily surprised when you don’t stink. And you don’t have to keep reapplying during the day. You will probably go through an armpit detox. This is normal. Don’t give up! You may sweat more than usual during the detox, which usually lasts about a week. Your body is purging out all the toxins from conventional deodorant and antiperspirant.
Ugh this is no fun. I know first hand. This is a fairly common reaction to baking soda. Baking soda is a major ingredient in natural deodorants because of its ability to absorb wetness and odor. That’s a great feature unless it’s causing you to react with red, itchy irritated armpits. If this happens we suggest you give our sensitive skin version a go. The baking soda is greatly reduced and Bentonite Clay is added. The clay has a similar effect as baking soda without causing irritation.
We generally suggest about the size of medium pea. However, some folks might need more and some less. So play with it, use the smallest amount possible to get the best effect. This will save you from going through it too quickly. In general, the jar should last approximately a month.
Yes, you really have to touch your armpits. I promise this is not gross or weird and you’ll get used to it really fast. And then you’ll wonder why you even thought it was weird in the first place. If you are that freaked out about touching your armpits, a popsicle stick works. My husband had to do that at the beginning too, but not anymore.
There are not any specific products to avoid. As long as you're not allergic to any of the ingredients, all of our products will be safe and effective for you! We have a sensitive skin version of our Deodorant in case your skin is sensitive to baking soda.
Of course! You can use them all!
Our products are handcrafted in Chandler, Arizona.
